Classic reproduction: Side window for 300SL's Gullwing doors.
Connoisseurs and owners of the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL eoupe are well aware that as a result of this automobile design, the side windows in the gullwaing doors can't be opened. However, if you appreciate fresh air in the cockpit, you can use a lever to remove the windows from their frames altogether. But just remember to take good care of the individual pieces, as replacements for damaged parts were for a long time hard to come by. For this reason, the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center has now comissioned a reproduction.
The coupe's door windows were originally manufactured from a single-layer safety glass, but those of new edition are made from state=of-the-art multi-layer material. The use of original tools for final testing of each individual glass pane guarantees a perfect fit.
A limited number of driver and passenger windows for this car are available from the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center.
