« on: June 07, 2018, 11:30:31 AM »
Stuttgart.  Katja Bott will assume responsibility for the global communications of Mercedes-Benz Cars in autumn. This includes the Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-Maybach, Mercedes-AMG and smart passenger car brands. She will succeed Bettina Fetzer, who will take maternity leave and subsequently parental leave. In the interim period until autumn 2018, Koert Groeneveld, Head of International Product and Technology Communications Mercedes-Benz Cars, will be the acting manager for the worldwide press activities.

Katja Bott (42) has been working in various communications and spokesperson roles for Daimler since 2003. At present, she heads the corporate communications department at Daimler Trucks North America in Portland, USA. In this role, the native Swabian is responsible for internal and external corporate communications as well as for the product communications of the Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit Diesel, Thomas Built Buses brands and others in the USA and Mexico.

"I am delighted that we were able to obtain the services of a highly experienced colleague with thorough knowledge in all areas of external and internal communications. She consequently possesses all the qualities to further strengthen our passenger car communications. I wish Bettina Fetzer all the best for her new stage of life and am looking forward to welcoming her back to communications soon", says Jörg Howe, Head of Global Communications Daimler AG.
