"We have seen some outstanding performances on the golf course over the last few days, and the event has provided us with some exceptional experiences both on and off the course. The team from North Asia are worthy winners of the MercedesTrophy 2015. Congratulations to them and a big thank you to everyone who took part!"
Mercedes-Benz has been active in the sport of professional golf since the 1980’s. In amateur golf, the MercedesTrophy celebrated its 25th year in 2014. In the MercedesTrophy, a worldwide premium tournament series for amateurs, over 60,000 players from over 60 countries compete against one another every year. The series follows a three-stage format. It begins with invitational tournaments at the local level, in which players can qualify for the subsequent national finals (such as in Germany) or regional finals (such as in Latin America). The third and final stage of the tournament is the MercedesTrophy World Final, when the best team and the best player are honoured in Stuttgart, as well as being offered an exclusive peek into the world of Mercedes-Benz.
