Tim A. Reuss, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada, presented Sabine Sparwasser (left), Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Susanne Gagnon, Head of Administration and Development for the German International School Toronto, with a cheque for $20,000 today to help support construction of a new, state-of-the-art facility for the German International School Toronto. The larger, highly energy-efficient structure will incorporate renewable-energy technologies with the potential to generate at least as much energy as it consumes, making the new school a “net zero” energy consumer with a significantly reduced carbon footprint.
