DTM event in Graz on occasion of the comeback in Austria

DTM

Wiesbaden - one week before DTM is going to make its big Austria comeback, from 03rd to 06th June at the Red Bull Ring, the most popular international touring-car series will come to Graz for a PR event - on 28th May. During the event beginning at 09:00hrs and ending at 17:00hrs, the visitors will be entertained by a multifaceted programme including DTM demonstration runs.

At first, the Audi and Mercedes-Benz DTM drivers will cycle for the campaign ’Fahrradfahren mit Helm’ (’Cycling with Helmet’) from the ’Hauptplatz’ to the department store Kastner & Öhler that also will be the venue of the following press conference. And before the DTM drivers will start their engines, ’Flying Bull’ sky divers will land on the ’Tegetthoff Brücke.’ But then, it’s time for the DTM action: two DTM cars will drive from the ’Kaiser Franz Josef Kai’ via the ’Andreas Hofer Platz’ to the ’Hauptplatz’, thus offering the visitors the chance of witnessing the DTM vehicles race past at close range. Furthermore, the DTM drivers on site will be welcomed by the mayor of Graz, Siegfried Nagl, and may sign the city’s Golden Book. Afterwards, autographing sessions will offer the autograph hunters the chance of getting what they want. During the entire event, there also will be two DTM trucks placed on the ’Hauptplatz’ as an additional attraction to the DTM cars and also may be admired by the visitors.

Following a seven-year break, DTM returns to Austria from 03rd to 06th June, 2011, with the Red Bull Ring - formerly known as ’Österreichring’ or ’A1-Ring’ - being the venue of the third round of the season. From 2001 to 2003, Styria also staged DTM rounds. The legendary circuit was the venue of spectacular DTM races featuring numerous positions swaps, close racing and thrilling battles. This year, DTM will be the first major event held at the new Red-Bull-Ring - a must for every motor-racing enthusiast. Thanks to its open pit lane, paddock tickets, video walls, Fan-TV, concerts, autographing sessions and - last but not least - the moderate ticket prices, DTM represents Europe’s most spectator-friendly race series: all those interested in breathing DTM air can do so on Sunday for just €15, with tickets for the entire DTM weekend being available from just €20. Tickets of every category can be ordered in the World Wide Web at www.dtm.com and www.oeticket.com as well as at the ’DTM-Ticketline’ +49 (0) 1805/72 30 00 (14 Ct./min, maximum mobile-call price 42 Ct./min) and all the CTS Eventim advance-booking offices.
