For the next seven days, two yellow, black and white checkered smart fortwos will be roving the streets of Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby and North Vancouver. Those needing a lift must simply “hail” the smart fortwo, and they will be provided with complimentary transportation directly to the location of their choice. The company will be capturing drivers’ reactions on video with a special car cam, and the only stipulation for their journey is that participants must be willing to drive themselves so they can experience the nimble handling characteristics and fun-to-drive quotient that has allowed the smart fortwo to convince over 18,000 loyal customers across Canada.
The smart fortwo is designed with the highest levels of safety and technology in mind, and by the time participants reach their destination, they will have an intimate understanding of the myriad of benefits of driving a smart fortwo including its class-leading advanced safety systems, superior fuel economy, low CO2 emissions, and spacious and comfortable interior.
