more power out of an engine

hi all
i wanted to start this topic to talk about the little things we can do to get more power out of our engines.
such filters,spark plug types,stuff to add to the fuel and that kind of things.
so who wants to start?

A high flow exhaust an intake is always a good start.

i was thinking about MSD System or some thing.you know,as cheap as possible.i know if you want power you have to bring your wallet.but the small ideas some times work .
