Stuttgart / Hofolding. New buses for new products. Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr GmbH & Co. KG, Regiobus Mittelsachsen GmbH, and Albert Rapp Autoverkehr will be relying on proven Setra quality with new low-entry vehicles.

Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr GmbH & Co. KG is putting 18 new Setra Low Entry intercity buses into service in the greater Munich area. 16 of these S 415 LE Business vehicles will be used on the routes of the new ExpressBus Ring of the Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (MVV)  and will provide better connections to S-Bahn and regional trains.

The Setra buses will ensure fast and direct connections between Bad Tölz and Starnberg as well as between Wolfratshausen and Oberhaching in the MVV district of Bad Tölz/Wolfratshausen. The company from Hofolding will be deploying an additional two

S 415 LE Business buses on new routes in the Dachau district.

Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr GmbH & Co. KG currently employs around 800 staff and has over 575 vehicles in its fleet – from minibuses with disabled access to luxury double-decker touring coaches for its own touring coach business. The public transit buses will be used in the districts of Munich, Starnberg, Bad-Tölz/Wolfratshausen, Fürstenfeldbruck, and Dachau for scheduled-service, school, and commuting services.

In addition to the MVV, many municipalities, companies, associations, and schools are among the clients of the company that was founded in 1962.

Ten Setra buses for Mittelsachsen (Central Saxony)

Stuttgart / Mittweida. Regiobus Mittelsachsen GmbH is modernizing its fleet by procuring ten Setra MultiClass buses. The S 415 LE Business low-entry vehicles, each with 45 seats, will be used on routes throughout the district of Central Saxony.

In order to provide passengers with the highest possible level of safety against coronavirus infections, the new low-floor buses are each equipped with high-performance particulate filters that were developed by Daimler Buses and will filter out up to 99 percent of the particulate material in the interior using an antiviral functional layer. In addition, the buses have fully glazed driver protection doors from Daimler Buses on board.

The company, which is based in Mittweida, Saxony, operates over 235 buses on regional routes. More than 460 employees work at its five depots. Regiobus Mittelsachsen GmbH, founded in 2012 as part of a district reform with the merger of three local transportation companies, carries more than 13 million passengers annually. The vehicles stop at around 4,000 bus stops throughout the network spanning over 4,200 kilometers.

Seven Setra in one fell swoop

Stuttgart / Königsfeld. The bus company Albert Rapp Autoverkehr has expanded its fleet with seven Setra MultiClass low-entry intercity buses. The five two-axle S 415 LE Business and the two three-axle S 418 LE Business vehicles will be used in the district of Schwarzwald-Baar on the route from Villingen to Triberg. The vehicles, each with 45 or 57 seats, have wheelchair ramps and free WiFi on board.

In addition, the vehicles are equipped with high-performance particulate filters that were developed by Daimler Buses for protection against coronavirus infections and will filter out up to 99 percent of particulate material in the interior using an antiviral functional layer.

With the acceptance of the seven new vehicles in Neu-Ulm, the family-run business from Königsfeld in the Black Forest will have 21 Setra buses in its fleet.

In addition to operating local public transport lines, the company, which is now in its third generation and has 70 employees, also offers rental transportation for clubs and school classes. The fleet includes five touring coaches, all of them Setra ComfortClass vehicles.
