Mercedes-Benz is in the fast lane. This is according to the readers of the German specialist motoring magazine "Auto Zeitung", who have chosen the three latest Mercedes models as the best cars in their class. As a result, the AMG GT, the C-Class and also the S-Class have been awarded the "Auto Trophy 2014" in recognition of their top rankings.
Once again this year, as in the previous year, the Mercedes-Benz star has shone particularly brightly in the poll conducted by motoring magazine "Auto Zeitung" for the "Auto Trophy 2014". This time the readers voted the Mercedes-Benz C-Class the best mid-series vehicle, while in the luxury car segment the S-Class took top honours. And when it came to sports cars, it was the Mercedes-AMG GT which crossed the finish line in first place.
Developed fully in house by Mercedes-AMG, the AMG GT achieves true race track performance and thus a highly dynamic driving experience thanks to its front mid-engine design, intelligent aluminium lightweight construction and also its AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine rated at up to 375 kW (510 hp).
