smart Canada is pleased to announce the official launch of the smart add-on program. This innovative new initiative further enhances the smart ownership experience for customers through three exclusive programs that include: smart add-on parking, smart add-on renting, and smart add-on sharing.
One major advantage of driving a smart fortwo on crowded city streets is the ability to fit into compact parking spaces that would never be able to accommodate larger vehicles. smart is now pleased to build on this concept when parking by making specially sized, dedicated parking spaces available at reduced rates at 17 parking lots in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. In addition, there are currently four locations that offer free electric vehicle charging stations exclusive to smart, and this will be further increased in 2014 with a planned national expansion of smart parking and charging locations.
The versatile smart fortwo provides an ideal, extremely fuel efficient personal transportation solution for most transportation requirements, but there are certain instances where customers may need a larger vehicle to move oversized items or to accommodate additional passengers. On these rare occasions, smart has a special arrangement with Enterprise Rent-A-Car that includes special rates, an automatic upgrade to Silver level membership in Enterprise Plus and additional bonus points that can be used towards free rental days.
For added convenience when traveling, smart fortwo owners also receive a free membership to car2go through smart add-on sharing that includes 30 minutes free drive time and specialty car2go parking spots in city centers. car2go's point-to-point, on-demand model of carsharing is the world’s first free-floating carsharing service,
