Mercedes-Benz Canada reports its best November ever

TORONTO, ON – Mercedes-Benz Canada today reported that a record-breaking total of 3,029 Mercedes-Benz and smart units were sold through the company’s national dealer network in November. This represents an increase of 15.1% or 398 units for the month, and pushes year-to-date growth to 5.3% with 29,937 units retailed in 2011.
A total of 2,685 Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and luxury light trucks were delivered throughout the month, which is ahead by 12.7% compared to November 2010. With a total of 1,432 passenger cars and 1,253 luxury light trucks delivered, November sales were up 12.4% and 13.0% respectively for the month.
Strong C-Class, E-Class, CLS-Class, M-Class, R-Class and GL-Class model sales contributed to November’s success. The highly desirable M-Class continued to report strong demand and brisk sales figures for the month with 615 units retailed. The
C-Class also posted notable gains in November with deliveries ahead by an impressive 36.2%.
The diesel take rate for luxury light trucks was 81.1% for the month, while permanent all-wheel drive 4MATIC™ units accounted for 87.6% of overall passenger car and luxury light truck sales (excluding Sprinter and smart).
smart reported a total of 129 vehicles sold in November. Year-to-date, 1,672 smart fortwos have been delivered to customers across Canada.
A total of 215 Mercedes-Benz Sprinters were delivered for the month. This represents an increase of 103 units or 92.0% for the month. Overall, Sprinter sales are ahead by a noteworthy 82.0% with a total of 2,129 units retailed year-to-date.
Mercedes-Benz Pre-Owned sales reported a 14.1% increase and their best November ever with 964 units sold throughout the month. This propels year-to-date growth to 25.8%, with 12,195 Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz units retailed so far this year.
