Stuttgart – Mercedes-Benz will celebrate the birthday of the automobile together with the official brand clubs at the former Tempelhof Airport on 27 and 28 August 2011. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience a wide range of vehicles in test drives and accompanied rides. Those who dare can take a spin around the track in a DTM vehicle with Ralf Schumacher – or take things more comfortably by testing the latest model range. One highlight will be the show races with all six historical Silver Arrows from the 1930s and 1950s.
The summer party will be accompanied by a varied stage programme with live bands, DJs, talks on 125 years of innovation and competitions. Activities for younger guests include a children’s driving school, bouncy castles and mini-races. Live bands and DJs will entertain the crowds on the Saturday night. The event site is open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Entrance is free of charge.
The event entrance is via Tempelhofer Park (Gates 4a, 9 and 10). Due to the lack of parking spaces on the event site, we would ask you to use Tempelhof U-Bahn and S-Bahn station rather than travelling by car. The site can be reached using the U6, S41, S42 and S47 lines.
