Mercedes-Benz Canada is pleased to announce that it has earned the top spot on the 2010 Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) Survey’s Overall Opinion Index chart. In addition to receiving the highest dealer satisfaction rating amongst all manufacturers in Canada, Mercedes-Benz was also presented with three prestigious CADA awards in the Dealer Network of 100 or less category; essentially capturing the award in each grouping where the company was eligible. Mercedes-Benz Canada’s rankings have progressed steadily over the course of the last few years; it was most recently ranked in third place in 2009.
Specifically, in addition to its overall ranking amongst all manufacturers, Mercedes-Benz Canada accepted the following awards: Highest Overall Ranking: Dealer Network of 100 or Less, Most Effective Dealer/Manufacturer Communications, Dealer Network of 100 or Less, and Most Improved Franchise: Dealer Network of 100 or less.
The CADA award winners are selected based on the results from CADA's annual DSI Survey that is sent to dealer principals each fall. The survey asks dealers questions related to the performance of their manufacturers in areas that include overall communication, ease of doing business, vehicle and parts deliveries, customer satisfaction policies and sales and service.
“2010 was the most successful year in Mercedes-Benz Canada’s history, and the strong relationship we have fostered with our national dealer network has been a critical factor and invaluable catalyst to our company’s success,” said Marcus Breitschwerdt, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada. “We always encourage open, honest communication and illicit constant feedback through regular dealer visits and frequent dealer board meetings. We do not make any major decisions without consulting our Dealer Advisory Board. We have jointly implemented great initiatives, installed new processes, re-vamped our Pre-Owned business and brought unique cars to Canada. Mercedes-Benz Canada and its dealers have also invested more than $250 million in their facilities in the past few years. Their overall engagement and participation at every stage have helped us to significantly improve our overall sales, service and parts operations. ”
Breitschwerdt continued, “As an important partner and knowledgeable advisor, the CADA continues to heighten the overall level of professionalism of the car business in Canada. The CADA is also a highly regarded organization whose sole mandate is to help dealers succeed. This recognition from the CADA is particularly rewarding because it demonstrates that our long-term growth strategy and infrastructure investments are generating tangible results that ultimately benefit our customers. With one of the highest franchise values in the country, our dealers enjoy a flourishing business and an excellent return on their investment. I would like to personally thank all our dealers and every employee who are the central point of contact with our valued customers and collectively represent the three-pointed star with such passion and dedication.”
