It has been know for years that the Greater Vancouver Area landscape allow you to entertian yourself in a variety of ways. Especially in the winter where you can drive up the mountain and play in the snow in the morning; take a round of golf in the afternoon; and great dinning in the evening.

Cypress mountain is one of the most popular local mountain for winter sport. And if you have your own snow shoe, some of the trails are free for you to use. A drive from Richmond will take about 45 minutes. There are lots of free parking where you can gear up. A bit a snaks, drinks, and some safety material and you are ready for your walk. It is by no means for the faint of heart travel. Yours truly took 90 minute for the ascend on the first try, with moderate amount of short rest. It worth all the pain and sweat by the time you reach the top. Which is just under 3 km from the start. The breath taking view that's hard to find words to describe. The decend took 50 minutes at a brisk pace.

After a good work out on the mountain. You get clean up and rested. It is time for dinner. Todays experience is Morton's Steakhouse on Cordova.

They have locations throughout North America, Puerto Rico and Asia. Steaks start from the $40.00 range, and so is a bottle of red wine. Cozy, friendly atmosphere. I must remind you the portions are very generous.
