It was a pleasent drive in a Flying Tiger Tuned B-Class, even in some undesirable weather. (Heavy rain, strong wind, sleet and snow at higher elevations, dense fog in mountain area) This Compact Sports Tourer were peerless in all situations even at high speed. The route was fairly straight forward through Interstate 5 from Vancouver before heading west to the coast. Once we passed Sacramento it was like driving into paradise. Sunny sky and warm temperature welcomes northern visitors.

http://www.fishermanswharf.org/ is a must for first time visitors. An experience to have. Coit Tower provides some of the most spectacular view of the Bay area. Including "The Rock" Alcatraz. Relax underneath the Golden Gate Bridge and listen to the wave. Blend-in with the locals, touring the museum at the Golden Gate Park. Check-out the old China Town that they refer to as the "Old Gold Mountain".
http://www.baycityguide.com/How could you complete the trip without visiting a local Mercedes-Benz dealership; while it is incidentally across the street from our hotel. Prominently a McLaren SLR lies at the showroom window. Locals were thrilled of our visit since they have never seen a B-Class Mercedes on their land. Boasting 240+hp and weighing only about 2900 lbs coupled with the 6-speed manual; the "B" gives a good punch up the steep hills around the Bay Area.
The return trip was just as interesting as the sightseeing. A Volvo V50 was keeping us company and honest to the speed for most of the way.
