Kremlin F1 event 2008McLaren driver Heikki Kovalainen will take part in a Formula 1 street demonstration at the Kremlin in Russian capital Moscow later this month.

The Finn will drive last year's championship-winning McLaren MP4-23 on July 19, with both Red Bull and Williams also appearing.

The cars will circulate around a track laid out on the perimeter roads of the Kremlin. It is the second time that the crowd-pulling event has been held after last July's first running, but the first time that McLaren has participated.

"I'm really looking forward to the demonstration in Russia," said Kovalainen. "Moscow is one of the world's most magnificent cities and this opportunity to showcase Formula 1 machinery to so many people, and in such an amazing place, is an incredible opportunity.

"For everybody who attends, this should be an absolutely amazing demonstration of the worldwide appeal of Formula 1 to a country that is looking forward to hosting its first Formula 1 grand prix in the near future."
