2009 DTM song: ?Faith? from Reamonn

DTM

For the second time, the Irish-German band Reamonn plays the official DTM song, this year. The hymn is going to accompany the ARD coverage in trailers and the ?Pictures of the Day? throughout the season. Furthermore, ?Faith? also will be played during the official champagne spraying representing a part of the presentation ceremony at the respective circuit. Thanks to their five albums published to date ? with each of them having achieved Platinum status, in Germany ? and songs such as  ?Supergirl?, ?Tonight? and ?Through the eyes of a child?, the band is extremely popular not only with the DTM enthusiasts alone. Their latest single, ?Million Miles?, also has worked its way up to 17th position in the German single charts.

And Reamonn just can?t get enough of the most popular international touring-car series: following numerous DTM appearances in the past years and a brilliant show during the 2009 DTM Launch held this weekend at D?sseldorf in front of 210,000 visitors, the Irish-German rockers are going to also inspire the DTM season kick-off crowds on 17th May, in Hockenheim. On Sunday afternoon, the musicians around Irish lead singer Rea Garvey will play live on the ARD stage.

The ?ARD-Chartshow? is held at selected DTM rounds during the pit-walk in the pit-lane and always makes for a great atmosphere. In the past, top acts such as A-ha, Status Quo, Juanes, Juli, Silbermond, No Angels, Sasha and many more got the crowds rocking right before the start of the race. Every holder of a valid paddock ticket is granted access to the live concerts.

Traditionally, the Hockenheimring Baden-W?rttemberg also is the venue of another event: the SWR3-DanceNight held on Saturday evening from 20:00hrs in the tent behind the grandstand ?S?dtrib?ne A?. The access will be free for all the holders of a valid DTM ticket. SWR 3 Club members without a ticket will have to pay ?4, everybody else ?5.
