Passenger transport company Muldental mbH (PVM) has cause for celebration: the Saxon bus company from the district of Leipzig has extended its vehicle fleet with the acquisition of ten new Setra S 415 NF low-floor buses - a move which has also seen the company take delivery of its 75th new Setra vehicle.
Commenting at the handover at the Setra Customer Center in Neu-Ulm, company director Andreas Kultscher, who has been managing PVM since October 2010, said: "Setra has been fully meeting all of our requirements in terms of our daily regular service operations for a number of years now. Major plus points include the partnership-like cooperation based on trust, from sales through to service via the Omniplus service brand, the robust vehicle technology and also the high value retention of the vehicles themselves", according to Andreas Kultscher. The ten new S 415 NF low-floor buses, which in part are being sponsored by the Free State of Saxony, meet the EEV exhaust emissions standard without particulate filter. Their features include ZF Ecolife 6-speed automatic transmissions, 42 passenger seats suitable for regular service operations, disabled spaces, parking spaces for wheelchairs and baby carriages, a kneeling function, vehicle-specific manually operated folding ramp and also the computer-controlled RBL central guidance system, with visual and audible information facilities for passengers.
A presence on 82 public service routes in the region
Passenger transport company Muldental mbH currently operates 82 routes throughout the entire district of Leipzig, five of which are urban and 77 regional transport routes. School bus operations make up the lion's share, accounting for almost three-quarters of the company's daily business. Having relied on the buses of the Ulm-based brand since 1992, the company employs a staff of around 230 at four sites in Saxony, namely Colditz, Deuben, Grimma and Zwenkau.
