Jamie Green wins DTM finale at Hockenheim

Hockenheim. Jamie Green (Mercedes-Benz) is the winner of the DTM season finale at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. The Brit dominantly won the 38 lap race after having taken the lead right after the start already. Second place in the final round of the season went to the newly-crowned DTM champion Martin Tomczyk (Audi). At the finish, the German was 7.620 seconds down on the winner. Miguel Molina (Audi) rounded out the podium at Hockenheim after securing his maiden podium finish in third place. Behind Mike Rockenfeller (Audi) and Gary Paffett (Mercedes-Benz), Mattias Ekström (Audi) crossed the finish line in sixth place. Thus, the Swede secured himself runner-up spot. Timo Scheider (Audi) ended up seventh from Oliver Jarvis (Audi). A full press release with quotes will follow shortly.

Start Green takes the lead, Tomczyk overtakes Molina for second. Rockenfeller is fourth. Wolff stalls.
Lap 1 Jarvis and Ekström past Spengler in the battle for seventh coming out of the hairpin. Jarvis is now seventh, Ekström is eighth, Spengler ninth.
Lap 2 Order: Green is leading from Tomczyk, Moilina, Rockenfeller, Scheider, Paffett, Jarvis, Ekström, Spengler and Albuquerque.
Lap 3 Drive-through penalty for Rahel Frey because of jumping the start.
Lap 4 Ekström overtakes Jarvis under braking for the hairpin and is now seventh. Scheider puts Rockenfeller under pressure in the battle for fourth.

Lap 8 Scheider keeps the pressure on Rockenfeller for fourth.
