DTM
Wiesbaden. The DTM fans showed their support and purchased an signed original race overall, worn by reigning DTM champion Timo Scheider, at 1,500 Euros. The ITR doubled the amount and the proceeds of 3,000 Euros was handed over to Astrid Elbers, the wife of the mayor of D?sseldorf, on the occasion of the DTM presentation. Mrs. Elbers is the patroness of the ?Regenbogenland? association, a non-profit children?s hospice. ?The money will be well spent. It will go to children with incurable diseases and their relatives. Therefore, I am very grateful for this initiative?, said Mrs. Elbers when she received the cheque. Prior to the event in D?sseldorf, the ITR and the sportAgentur D?sseldorf had called upon fans to spend for this cause. ?A social commitment is very important for us, so we really cared about this action?, said ITR chairman Hans Werner Aufrecht.
