Penske claimed a 1-2 finish as Porsches filled the top three places in Saturday's third round of the American Le Mans Series at Long Beach.
Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas led home teammates Ryan Briscoe and Sascha Maassen by less than a second as Porsche broke a nine-race winning streak for the Audi R10 TDI, as their strategy fell perfectly into place. Andy Wallace and Butch Leitzinger completed the all-Porsche podium.
The Acura of Stefan Johansson, David Brabham and Duncan Dayton took fourth place, followed by Guy Smith and Chris Dyson in another Porsche RS Spyder, with the pole-setting Acura of Dario Franchitti and Bryan Herta completing the top six placings.
The best placed Audi was the car of Rinaldo Capello and Allan McNish in seventh place, which also won the LMP1 class, a lap and two places ahead of their teammates Emanuele Pirro and Marco Werner.
The two factory Corvettes finished 1-2 in GT1, Oliver Gavin and Olivier Beretta leading home Jan Magnussen and Johnny O'Connell in a close finish by less than four-tenths of a second.
Finally, in GT2 Jaime Melo and Mika Salo continued their class-winning performances of 2007 with another victory in their Ferrari 430GT, a few seconds ahead of the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR of Patrick Long and Darren Law with the second 430GT of Nic Jonsson and Anthony Lazzaro completing the GT2 podium places.
