Tonio LiuzziEx-Formula 1 driver Tonio Liuzzi will switch to the Romeo Ferraris Mercedes team for his return to the Superstars International Series in 2013.
Liuzzi moved to Superstars with Mercedes squad CAAL Racing last year after losing his HRT F1 place.
He will be joined at Romeo Ferraris by 2010 Superstars champion Thomas Biagi, who previously raced a BMW for Dinamic.
Liuzzi came close to the Superstars title last year but was pipped by Audi driver Johan Kristoffersson in a dramatic finale. Kristoffersson announced earlier this week that he would race a Petri Porsche in the series this season.
"I'm ready for a new challenge after an intense 2012 season," said Liuzzi. "With this team and car package I think we will be able to aim at the title.
"I know that they are very clear-headed, the car is more competitive than ever and Thomas, my team-mate, has a lot of experience."
