Mercedes-Benz Canada reports continued strong momentum with its best November ever
TORONTO, ON ? Mercedes-Benz Canada reported today its best November ever with a total of 1,816 Mercedes-Benz and smart combined units registered for the month. This is up 372 units or 25.8% compared to November 2007, and boosts year-to-date growth to 32.5%.
In November, a total of 1,639 Mercedes-Benz vehicles were delivered to customers. This represents the best November on record, an increase of 14.3% compared to November 2007 and pushes year-to-date growth to 27.7%.
smart reported a total of 177 vehicles delivered in the month of November. Year-to-date smart has sold a total of 3,599 units, which is up 1,411 units or 64.5% from the same time last year.
Very strong B-Class, C-Class, E-Class, CL-Class, SL-Class, M-Class and R-Class model sales contributed to November?s success. This month sales of the facelifted M-Class, recently named Best New SUV / CUV (over $60k) by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), were up a remarkable 71.1%. Deliveries of the C-Class remained strong and were ahead 112 units for the month, and sales of the versatile R-Class also showed a gain of 34.6% compared to November 2007. The diesel sales ratio was 49.6% for the month, while permanent all-wheel drive 4MATIC? units accounted for 74.1% of the overall passenger car and light truck sales (excluding smart).
