Christian Fittipaldi will race an Aston Martin at Le Mans for Team Modena in June.
The Brazilian competed in the event last year driving a Saleen, and he feels that this year his package will be capable of competing at the front of the GT1 class.
"I am pleased to be joining Team Modena," he said. "The Aston Martin will be competitive at Le Mans and I am confident we can do well."
Fittipaldi will race for the team in the Le Mans Series this weekend at Valencia in preparation for sharing the car with Liz Halliday and Antonio Garcia for the 24-hour classic.
Team Modena sporting director Rik Bryan added: "Christian is highly experienced at all levels of motorsport, and it is a great boost for the team ahead of Valencia and Le Mans.
"It means we go into the 24-hour race with a tested driver line-up and can look to match the high standard we set last year when we took when we took a top ten finish."
