Oschersleben. With his Audi A4 DTM, Danish driver Tom Kristensen claimed pole position for the fifth DTM season round at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. In the fourth and final qualifying heat, the Audi driver lapped the 3.696 kilometres long circuit in the area near Magdeburg in 1:21.352 minutes. Lining up alongside Kristensen on the front row will be his team-mate, reigning DTM champion Timo Scheider, who qualified second. The second grid row was also locked out by Audi: Martin Tomczyk claimed third place on the grid, Mattias Ekstr?m was fourth. Oliver Jarvis (Audi) finished as the best-placed driver with a year-old car in fifth. The fastest AMG Mercedes C-Class was driven by Bruno Spengler, the Canadian will be starting from sixth place. 13.35     Start of the first 12 minutes' session. The first driver to go out on the track is Alexandre Pr?mat.
13.38     Pr?mat on top with 1:22.816, then Rockenfeller fastest with 1:22.641.
13.39     Timo Scheider moves up into first place with 1:22.310.
13.41     Martin Tomczyk moves up into second place. Mattias Ekstr?m claims the top position with 1:22.222.
13.42     Tomczyk improves his own fastest lap time to 1:22.233, he is second, only 0.001 second down on Ekstr?m.
13.45     In spite of a slight error on her flying lap, Legge moves up from 16th to 14th with 1:23.305, which puts Winkelhock out of contention for Q2.
13.46     Winkelhock counters and is now eleventh.
13.47     End of the session. The following drivers haven't made it into Q2: Legge, Stoddart, Lauda, Kostka and Seidlitz.
13.48     Ekstr?m remains fastest from Tomczyk, Kristensen, Di Resta, Scheider, Engel, Paffett, Rockenfeller, Spengler and Pr?mat.
13.53     Start of the second heat. Again, Pr?mat is the first driver to go out.
13.55     Jarvis tops the time sheet with 1:22.175.
13.57     Tomczyk is the first driver to lap under 1:22: his fastest lap time is 1:21.970, but he is soon outpaced by Ekstr?m: 1:21.893.
13.58     Kristensen is now on top with 1:21.884.
14.01     Rockenfeller moves up into seventh place.
14.03     End of the session. Kristensen remains fastest from Ekstr?m, Scheider, Tomczyk, Jarvis, Spengler, Rockenfeller and Pr?mat. The following drivers haven't made it into the next heat: Di Resta, Green, Engel, Paffett, Winkelhock and Schumacher.
14.09     Start of the session, but no drivers on the track yet.
14.12     Tomczyk is fastest with 1:21.983.
14.13     Tom Kristensen now on top with 1:21.670.
