Title: M103
Post by: weneakhborz on July 02, 2007, 08:44:50 AM
any idea why does this econometer show this much of fuel waste?
even at the smallest step on the accelerator it jumps to the far right

i can feel that the car is just wasting the fuel and the engine bay smells like gas too.
the engine is m103 3.0
and the car takes 12 seconds to reach 60 miles\h is that normal?what is the standard acceleration time for the w124 m103 powred?

any ideas?

That is too slow. Poor engine performance. Too rich or not burning cleanly.

Check ignition related parts, compression, crank timing.

Yes. Your mixture and fuel distributor is a possibility as well.
