Successful start to Setra's anniversary year
    *
1700 visitors from 18 countries at IGOM 2011
    *
More than 200 vehicles of various brands available

Neu-Ulm. With the 18th International Used Bus & Coach Fair (IGOM), Setra Buses & Coaches has made a successful start to the anniversary year 2011, in which the brand is celebrating its 60th birthday and 100 years of bus engineering. Around 1700 visitors and potential buyers followed the invitation and attended this already traditional sales fair held between 5 and 7 January 2011 on the site of the production plant in Neu-Ulm. Once again this year, the numerous specialist discussions between visitors and the Setra sales teams showed that the IGOM fair has long since established itself as a major contact platform – also on an international basis - within the industry.
Bus and coach operators from all over Germany and Europe had a choice of more than 200 used vehicles of various brands. In addition to the Setra Used Bus & Coach Center (GWC), exhibitors showing their varied range of vehicles included Setra general distributors, the EvoBus subsidiaries and independent dealers.
A total of 75 used buses and coaches found buyers during the three days of the fair. The GWC was able to sell three quarters of its own stock. In addition the Setra brand, which presented numerous new and demonstration vehicles in the Customer Center, was able to sell 16 new Setra buses and coaches during the IGOM fair.
Strong upturn in export sales
Erich Weinstock, Head of the GWC, is very satisfied with the results of this year's IGOM fair: "All in all we were once again able to welcome more guests from all over Europe this year. This is also reflected in the proportion of export sales, which increased from 35 to 40 percent this year. This upturn makes us hopeful that our export business will see a long-term revival. Domestic sales also remain stable, and we wish to thank all customers and friends of the Setra family who made their way to Neu-Ulm in such large numbers."
In addition to the very varied range of used vehicles on display, personnel from the service brand OMNIplus, the Setra Competence Team, Technical Customer Service and financing specialists were on hand to inform customers about current products.
