Zandvoort DTM result remains provisional

Zandvoort. Due to further analyses of the tyres on the car of Audi driver Timo Scheider, the race result from Zandvoort wasn’t officially confirmed and thus remains provisional. After the race, it was discovered that the mandatory identification bar code by series’ partner Dunlop was missing on a tyre from Scheider’s car. This is an infringement of the technical regulations of the DMSB. The tyre will now be thoroughly analysed by Dunlop in order to determine how the bar code could have come off.
After the analysis and evaluation by the DMSB, the official results will be published within the next days.
Scheider had finished third behind winner Gary Paffett (Mercedes-Benz) and Paul Di Resta (Mercedes-Benz).
