BRABUS BLACK STAR 101: BRABUS now offers an especially sporty model based on the smart fortwo convertible. The black-painted special smart model with exclusive BRABUS equipment and a maximum power output of 101 hp / 74 kW is available for 34,900 Euros MSRP. Only 101 consecutively numbered cars will be built. The sprint from 0 - 100 km/h takes just 11.2 seconds. Top speed is limited electronically to 160 km/h. The consecutively numbered BRABUS BLACK STAR 101 plaques document the special model's exclusivity

Same as what I had at one time. Brabus type VI 16/17". Notice the Wide Star rear fenders?  ;)

Stronger engine, only slightly more weight, bigger wheelbase, faster shifts...

Yeah, I'll probably get an 09 to park next to my CDI. Have to wait and see how the 08 proves itself first.

There is a cdi engine for the Gen-2. Will have to see which engine we'll get.

Yeah. I have to admit that although "more environmentally friendly" was a bonus, it wasn't #1 on my list for getting the fortwo. I could easily see myself with a hopped up little gas burner...

If Laura lets me drive it... It'll probably be a red convertible if Laura has her way and the option is there.

0-100 in 11.2 is nearly a second and a half slower than the new Brabus 451, with 3 fewer HP (actually the 101 has 99 HP according to smart in Germany).  Still, it looks good.  I suppose much of the difference is in the gearshifting.
