Mercedes-Benz Concert Summer postponed until July 2021
« on: May 15, 2020, 08:37:45 AM »
Unfortunately, the Mercedes-Benz Concert Summer has had to be cancelled this year. But the good news is that the organisers have been able to book Alvaro Soler to perform and for Sido to play his sold-out concert next year at the next Concert Summer event (8 to 11 July 2021). Alvaro Soler will perform on Friday, 9 July 2021, and Sido will be on the large festival stage at the Mercedes-Benz Museum on 11 July 2021. Tickets already purchased for the 2020 Concert Summer event remain fully valid for the corresponding alternative dates in 2021 and do not need to be exchanged. Alternatively, they can be returned to the original ticket offices. The organiser is liaising closely with Wanda, the Viennese rock band, and is working on a solution that will be announced shortly. The popular children’s and family day is now scheduled for 11 July 2021. Up-to-date information on the concert programme is also available on the website www.konzertsommer.com.

Due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus, major events are not permitted to be held in Germany until at least 31 August 2020. The Mercedes-Benz Concert Summer event is subject to this regulation as it regularly attracts fans from near and far with its popular acts. The music festival took place for the first time in 2017. Previous highlights on stage included Freundeskreis (2017) and Clueso (2018). 2019 saw Andreas Bourani, Cro, Max Herre and Walk Off The Earth perform on the festival’s stage. In 2019, no fewer than 30,000 people flocked to the music event and associated children’s and family day, which took place on the Sunday.
