Carl Benz Tour
« on: October 11, 2016, 10:03:04 PM »
Stuttgart. The summer is drawing to a close with golden days. What could be nicer, then, than dreaming of the next short break? The stylish journeys outlined in the new "Classic Car Travel" brochure promise to provide magical moments. On selected routes, Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts can enjoy the charms of Provence or Tuscany at the wheel of one of ten Mercedes-Benz SL W 113 and R 107 dream sports cars.

The birthplace of the motor car also has plenty to offer: The new "Carl Benz Tour" takes classic car drivers on a three-day journey through the German state of Baden-Württemberg, enabling them to discover key milestones in the fascinating history of the Mercedes-Benz brand. The first port of call is to Mercedes-Benz Classic Service and Parts in Fellbach on the edge of Stuttgart, where treasured motor cars are lovingly restored and maintained – the start of an unforgettable journey through time.

Following little-travelled routes, classic car enthusiasts will relish driving through the lush green Neckar valley wine region. On our itinerary we pass vineyards and through romantic villages on the way to the Maulbronn Monastery – now a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and the world-famous Heidelberg Castle. Along the way drivers will immerse themselves in the history of the motor car in a number of ways: They will follow the world-famous route taken by Bertha Benz, see the historic Carl Benz factory and visit the spectacular architectural gem that is the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. Between the highlights of automotive development there will be plenty of opportunities to discover the charm of Swabia's Tuscany and to realize that enjoying yourself is just as much a priority here as working and inventing. Two nights at the Heitlinger Hof Hotel and Winery await, where travellers can sample the local hospitality, fine cuisine and superb selected wines from the region in a stylish atmosphere.

The Carl Benz Tour will take place on four dates in July 2017. Further information, including booking, is available online at mercedes-benz.com/classiccartravel and in the new "Classic Car Travel" brochure.
