Large-scale orders for Setra low entry buses
« on: April 26, 2016, 03:04:07 PM »
Stuttgart/Püttlingen. Saar-Mobil GmbH took delivery of 25 S 415 LE business low entry rural regular-service buses in Neu-Ulm. After winning a pan-European invitation, the five private bus operators in the group of companies decided to invest in a new fleet of Setra buses. The MultiClass buses fitted with 45 seats each, which will serve bus stops with a uniform design, will clock up a total of 6.5 million kilometres a year.
During the handover of part of the vehicle fleet in the Neu-Ulm Setra customer centre, Hans Gassert, managing director of Saar-Mobil GmbH and Hans Gassert GmbH, pointed out: "The decision was unanimous since the price/performance ratio of the S 415 LE business adds up for everyone involved and we are all already convinced of the tried-and-tested concept of the rural regular-service buses."
The long-standing good contacts with Setra Sales and the widespread Omniplus service network were additional key factors in the purchase decision for the owners of Aloys Baron GmbH, Geschwister Bur Reisen GmbH, Gassert Reisen GmbH, Lay Reisen on Tour GmbH and Marianne Feld GmbH, which jointly make up Saar-Mobil GmbH.
Bus and coach operator Weiss & Nesch values the predictable running costs
Stuttgart/Nagold. Weiss & Nesch GmbH took delivery of eleven S 415 LE business buses in the Setra Neu-Ulm customer centre. The low entry Setra MultiClass buses, each equipped with 45 seats, are used for Daimler AG factory transport as well as for rural regular services in a 50-kilometre radius around Nagold.
For managing director Marcus Weiss the good price-performance ratio, the constantly predictable running costs, coupled with the highly economical operation of the buses were key factors in the purchase decision: "The environmentally friendly Euro 6 engines convinced us, just as did the overall package offered by EvoBus, which includes comprehensive customer care from the initial purchase talks through to the after-sales service."
Yet the family-run business set up in Nagold in 1928 is not just a long established player in the local public transport sector. The Swabian company, which also includes the subsidiary Wurster Omnibus, is among the leading providers in the region of coach, cycling and golfing tours.
OVG Sonneberg hits the 50 mark with S 415 LE business
Stuttgart/Sonneberg. The 50th Setra new vehicle entered service at OVG Omnibus Verkehrs Gesellschaft mbH Sonneberg/Thüringen since 1992. The S 415 LE business is one of a total of three buses of this model, which OVG managing director Klaus Dieter Schneider collected from the brand's customer centre in Neu-Ulm.
For Klaus Dieter Schneider, the issues of economy and functionality coupled with the good price/performance ratio were the primary factors prompting him to buy the overall package put together by Setra: "The combination of predictable running costs, comprehensive after-sales service and attractive warranty contracts swayed us." But that was not all, for the company boss, who has 52 buses in his fleet and employs a 68-strong workforce plus two trainees, also highlights the superb level of workmanship as well as the attractive design of the new MultiClass buses.
The fact that Klaus Dieter Schneider attaches so much importance to the appearance of his buses is reflected in his decision to deck out the new S 415 LE business buses with elegant wood-effect flooring. The vehicles, which are being used in the Sonneberg district north-west of Coburg, each have 49 seats and a special area for prams and wheelchairs. The bus operating company founded in 1991 primarily uses its buses on public urban and regular services as well as for school and rental operations.
The S 415 LE business - barrier-free and maintenance-friendly
In autumn 2014 the Setra brand presented the 12.3 metre long S 415 LE business, which combines economy and functionality in a wholly new form. The economical two-axle vehicle for rural regular services offers the ideal combination of barrier-free access at the front with a low-maintenance raised-floor area in the rear. The S 415 LE business models are equipped with the Mercedes-Benz OM 936 Euro 6 six-cylinder in-line engine with an output of 220 kW (299 hp) in combination with a Mercedes-Benz GO 190-6 manual transmission. Fuel consumption is cut by up to five percent over the Euro 5 engines in the predecessor models.
