Daniel Juncadella: Off to Hawaii to compete in the 2016 Ironman
« on: October 22, 2015, 10:05:44 AM »
Mercedes-AMG DTM driver Daniel Juncadella (PETRONAS Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM) has been a proud member of the SPORT FOR GOOD TEAM since the DTM finale in Hockenheim. Triathlete Timo Bracht symbolically presented the Spaniard with a team jersey in Juncadella's garage at the last race weekend of the 2015 season, thus accepting him as a member of his team.
In future, the DTM driver and amateur triathlete will line up for TEAM SPORT FOR GOOD in competitions and will be involved in fund-raising and social media campaigns with the team. Juncadella's goal is to prepare with Bracht for the 2016 Ironman world championship on Hawaii.
TEAM SPORT FOR GOOD led by 9-time Ironman winner Timo Bracht supports the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation which seeks to combat social problems and help disadvantaged children and young people through sport. The pro team raises money for good causes by means of targeted campaigns. Mercedes-Benz is the team's automobile partner and helps the athletes in a number of ways, by providing new V-Class vehicles, for example. Juncadella's Mercedes-AMG DTM team-mate Gary Paffett has also worked with the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation as an ambassador this season.
