More customisation possibilities for smart
smart BRABUS tailor made is now available for the new smart generation in Europe with a hitherto unseen number of customisation options. For the first time special detachable body parts can be selected in addition to colours and materials. smart BRABUS tailor made is a real success: launched five years ago, the individualisation programme has not only become established throughout Europe, but also in the USA and China. At the Frankfurt International Motor Show, the new cabrio and two smart fortwos will offer a look at the virtually endless possibilities available for designing the exterior and the interior.

Customers can configure their smart in line with their own ideas and can draw from three stages: "can do" is the motto for the exterior colours – thousands of colours are possible. There is a choice of 30 leather colours for the interior, which can be additionally combined with various seam lines to enable each customer to create their very own personal smart interior. The third step is completely new: detachable body parts are now available that take up the design idiom of the smart. They are fully integrated and as such represent a unique styling upgrade in this segment.

At the International Motor Show three models demonstrate the virtually endless number of possible combinations, for example the new smart cabrio in matt "light blue" including sporty exterior detachable body parts and a grey soft top. In the black leather interior "light blue" is taken up again in the seams with a special honeycomb quilting creating a stylish link between the design of the exterior and the interior, especially when the soft top is open.
The two customised smart fortwos also presented at the International Motor Show boast special paint finishes in high-gloss "trofeo red" and matt "greenyellow", each combined with accent trim parts in matt "palladium grey". The tailor made leather package with leather in "basalt" and "snow" respectively is a highlight of the interior and features seams matching the exterior in "trofeo red" and "greenyellow".

Pre-configured packages
A number of pre-configured, attractive tailor made packages with different focuses are available:
The tailor made colour package (€2999[1]) comprises a customised paint finish for the bodypanels including radiator trim. Special effect or matt paint is optionally available (€499).
The extensive leather appointments in the tailor made leather package (€3499) are unique in the small car segment and comprise customised leather on the seats, dashboard and door centre panels with an individually chosen seam line. BRABUS velour floor mats are a further standard feature. As an option, customised leather on the steering wheel rim can be added to the tailor made leather package (€399).
The following options are possible in combination with the tailor made colour package or the tailor made leather package:
Special detachable body parts in the tailor made exterior style package (€1999) lend the smart a very sporty and eye-catching exterior: the package comprises BRABUS front spoiler, BRABUS side skirts and BRABUS rear diffuser, all individually painted. The BRABUS roof spoiler is painted in black, the BRABUS third brake light has a smoked-glass look. A BRABUS sports exhaust system is available as an option for the 52 and 66 kW engines. The tailor made exterior style package can be ordered from the end of 2015.
The interior style package (€599) comprises a BRABUS shift lever knob, BRABUS hand-brake lever in aluminium, BRABUS sports pedals and BRABUS door sills.
With the interior colour package (€699) the trims around the instrument cluster, dashboard instrument and the rings of the air vents and accent trim parts on the dashboard are painted in a colour of the customer's choice.
A unique smart
Of course, individual elements can also be painted in a colour of the customer's choice to create a truly unique smart:
The tridion safety cell can be given a customised paint finish (€2,299), and this also comprises the door mirror caps, filler cap and the surrounds of the tail lights.
A customised paint finish for the alloy wheels from the smart standard range (€899) is a further option.
